Auch MTV und das Billboard Magazine haben wenige Stunden nach der Welt-Premiere von "3" erste Beurteilungen verfasst und kommen zu einem positiven Fazit:
MTV:
Der Track wurde von [...] Max Martin produziert und das Thema des Songs (offenbar geht es darum, mit mehreren Leuten gleichzeitig zu schlafen) wird bestimmt für einen Eklat sorgen! Natürlich verursacht Spears solche Eklats schon seit sie sich in Schuluniform im Video zu "...Baby One More Time" ablichten ließ. Der Song ist ein eingängiger Dance-Track mit provokanten Zeilen.
Billboard:
Britney holt aus ihrem Status als Sex-Symbol einmal mehr alles heraus. Produziert vom schwedischen Hitmacher Max Martin, singt Spears in "3" gewagt über eine Ménage a trois und trägt es mit ihrem schüchternen Markenzeichen vor. "Three is a charm, two is not the same," gurrt sie verlockend in einem Vers.

Zwei Grammy-Vorschläge!!!

Mindestens zweimal hat Britneys Plattenfirma sie für einen Grammy vorschlagen lassen. In den Kategorien "Record Of The Year" (für "Womanizer") und "Best Album Of The Year" (für "Circus") hat Jive den Antrag auf eine Nominierung eingereicht. Ob Jive auch die Dance-Kategorie berücksichtigte, ist im Moment nicht klar. Hoffen wir, dass die Juroren Britney letztendlich mit einer Nominierung beglücken werden.
